4 weeks--the good, the bad & the ugly

So... we have learnt soooo much in the past 4 weeks & Maddux is growing sooo fast I mean he's going to be a month old this week it's crazy!

The Good
Maddux has been growing like crazy since being on formula!
He is sleeping 6-8 hours at night
He is starting to coo
He smiles (sometimes it's on purpose-I think)
Wrigley & Addison absolutely love him
He loves taking baths-sometimes he even falls asleep during them
Sometimes he really enjoys his activity mat & other times he doesn't
He Loves to lay next to our fireplace with the heat coming out he would lay there forever

The Bad
Maddux is going through a fussy stage
@ night he will sometimes cry anywhere from a hour- 3 hours with nothing making him stop
He sometimes fights his naps
He is starting to spit up--not very much but at least once or twice a day
The only place I can get him to sleep at night is in our bed with me ( I am not a proud or believer in co-sleeping--there is nothing wrong with people that like this but I don't and can't wait to get him to sleep somewhere else)
He has Thrush-- its not to bad though

The Ugly
Last week we were on our way home and Maddux was screaming so Jayce pulled over & I realized he was pooping so I went to change him and I don't know why but I just had him in my lap well I had just pulled the diaper away and went to put the new one under him and right before I got it there he started to poop right there on my leg--yes my leg it was horrible & prolly one of the funniest things we have experienced to date!
We are peed on it seems like once a day but it is getting better! :)

If any of you have tips on having him sleep somewhere other than my bed I would love the advice because that is something that we really want to change and soon before it becomes a habit!

Did you look at rings together?

Yes & No... at the time I was going to school 6 hours away & I hinted around to what I wanted and liked and would send pictures if I happened to see something I liked but he picked this one out all by himself! :)  

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!

I absolutely love my ring!! I think it is perfect!! :) :)

How often do you wear your rings?

Well before I got pregnant it NEVER came off but it doesn't fit anymore so... I haven't wore it for a couple months now but can't wait for the swelling to go down so I can get them back on! :)

Do you clean your rings?

I have stuff to clean them so I do every once in awhile when I'm home but if I happen to be at the mall I always stop and have them cleaned!

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?

I was so shocked I just wanted to stare at the ring but I mean the guy was proposing so I wanted to hear what he said but I couldn't believe how big & sparkly it was... just thinking about it makes me want to jump up & down with excitement! hahah! :)

Valentines Day Recap.

So Jayce & I have never been ones to celebrate Valentines day... some years we get eachother presents some years we get cards some years we don't get eachother anything.  I blame this on my birthday falling the day after Valentines day (today). So, I normally feel bad and tell him not to get me anything for Valentines day since he has to get me something for my birthday! :)


Yesterday was a busy day for us... He worked his normal day till 4 I worked till 6 He had basketball practice till 630.  We knew we wouldn't be seeing eachother until around 7.  We hadn't got eachother anything and I planned on getting him a card but that sorta slipped my mind too! So, I went to work & when I got home of course he was at practice and normally the first place I go when I get home is the bathroom I mean I pee every 30 minutes it seems like so he knew I would be heading there first... I walk in to see that he has somehow managed to write on the mirror and he made me a card :)

seriously this meant more to me than ANY present or store bought card ever would. He wrote the sweetest stuff in the card that made me bawl like a baby! :) He also took me to dinner-- we were going to go to Casa's for dinner but then I knew I needed to go to my parents and that it would be to late so we just stayed in town for dinner.  It was nice not having to cook or clean up anything!  I actually hadn't done anything for Jayce until I saw his homemade card so I decided I would make him one too! :) I would say our Valentines Day was a complete Success!! :)


Also, My parents paid for us to take the course-- Financial Peace University!!

Jayce & I are sooo excited to participate in this course! We are excited to see what comes for us! We had our first class Sunday & it lasts for 13 weeks-- totally just a learning process & we are really interested in everything that Dave Ramsey teaches!
